Paul Dunne completes the first Shack Academy Double.

pictured with the 9-Ball League Cup & Championship Playoff Shield titles in 2011!
With a very tough League line up in 2011, Paul Dunne wins his first 9-Ball League title on frame count over Estonian Champion and Shack veteran Max Pinchuk. The result could have gone any way between 3 or 4 players as the season drew to a close. This has to have been the best finish to date in the Shack Academy 9-Ball League.
Then to top it off Paul Dunne also reached the final of the Championship Playoff facing the 2010 champion Paul Tierney. The Playoff is one of the hardest events to win yet Paul Tierney managed to make the final for a second year running. On the day it was Paul Dunne who took the match in 2 straight sets completing his well deserved double for 2011.
Alan is now looking forward to next year where the new Danish system will incorporate the National Championships in 8 ball, 9 ball, 10 ball and 14.1 (straight). He will also be playing in the Euro Tour events as well as travelling back to Ireland for the NEW,
" Irish 9-Ball Tour " & " Irish Championships " as early as January/February 2011.
These Irish Championships are also set to be the Irish European Championship Qualifiers in order to select the representatives for Ireland for the Europeans in Brandenburg, Germany, March 2011.

Doherty finishes the night with a class 147 break! Trickshot show and live commentary by John Virgo
See autographed images from the night below
In a classic display of sheer world class Snooker from both Ken Doherty & Jimmy White, Doherty went on to completely steal the show in the Ardboyne Hotel on Tuesday night!
After beating White 3-2 in the exhibition match which involved 3 century breaks between them, Doherty later completed a crowd pleasing 147 break in the final frame of the night against one of the supporters. The young man, who won an auction to play against the 2007 World Champion, stood there in awe, as Doherty cleared the table with what can only be described as a touch of pure class.
In a previous frame, Doherty also beat one of The Shacks 9-Ball League Players, Paul Tierney.
Paul won the chance to play against Ken through a raffle held on the night.
Doherty & White were also very interested in the new ideas for the 2011 Irish 9-Ball Tour.
Both may even show their support by participating specifically in one of the events!
