The Pool Knight Shack was formed in 2009 in Dublin, Ireland.
Helping people to develop their skill levels so to achieve their set goals is one of the main objectives of the Academy.
We provide players with a low cost professional venue, where they can practice and play socially or competively in tournaments, events and leagues which are setup and run by the players.
As the setup is a not-for-profit community based Cuesport club, it is solely reliant on the members subs contributions as its only source of funding.
This is what covers all the overheads and opperational costs of the setup, including renting and maintaining a suitable facility and the professional equipment therin.
This privately run Academy is actively encouraging the development and interest in Cuesports within the community, county and country.
It is readily made available to benefit and assist with the development of skills of players of all ages, standards, race, gender, sexual orientation or ability.
The Pool Knight Shack consists of a select number of players and individuals who have come together with the same agenda and common interest to form this Academy.
Many of the members assist and coach in various sections and categories, including Special Needs, Juniors, Ladies and Mens.
A high number of the Academy players still compete and represent Ireland at the highest levels internationally.
This sport is almost a community within itself.
One of the biggest goals of The Pool Knight Shack Cuesport Academy is to try to integrate with the educational system in Ireland and eventually develop into a National Cuesport Academy.
This would be a dream setup for every individual inivolved in Cuesports and is vitally important for the future of the game and the players involved. We welcome your support in our quest to achieve this ultimate goal.
Educate - Apply - Succeed is the Academy motto.
